accompany them. In such contingency

Colonel Ride and B.A.A.G. personnel would seem

most suitable.

4. As soon as possible we shall despatch

to Hong Kong by air, Brigadier MacDougall,

Chief Civil Affairs Officer designate,

and advance party of key Civil Affairs

personnel who are now standing by in

London.
